Mystic Aquarium

During Drew's April vacation we took the baby to Mystic Aquarium for the first time and he absolutely LOVED it! We figured he would since he loves looking at the fish tanks at his Gram's house. He stared at all the colorful fish and squealed with excitement the entire time. We'll have to go back again soon!

Staring at some fish with Dad.

Watching a stingray swim by. Spence wanted to point at or touch everything he saw.

"Whoa look at those big sharks!"

Face-to-face with a leopard shark.

Easter

Spence had a great time on his very first Easter! He was able to spend the day visiting many of his relatives, which he loved.

His first basket...not too much candy involved this year, but he did enjoy his new toys, clothes, and books :)

Spence started the tradition of putting his shoe in the window for the Easter Bunny to fill with candy. His mom, grandfather, and great grandfather used to do this one growing up so we decided to keep the tradition going. Usually the night before Easter you find the biggest shoe you own, put it in your bedroom window, and wake up to find it filled with candy! It's a nice addition to your Easter basket. Spence's shoes don't fit too much candy yet, but the Easter Bunny was able to fit a Cadbury Egg inside.

Here's Spence at Grandma Knutton's house meeting his new cousin Emily for the first time. They were so funny together!

At his Gram's with Mom...

Thank you UNC!

Well, it's official...Mom's team won the NCAA tourney and Mom won the 2009 Bracket Challenge! That means she wins dinner, dessert, drink-fetching, a car cleaning (including vacuuming), some entertainment, and a night free from diaper duty! Can't wait for the gang to deliver on that bet!

Spence and Dad getting ready for some basketball. I absolutely LOVE the Marist shirt!

Spence was born in 08 and mom was born in 80...the only 2 years that the Phillies won the World Series....interesting coincidence especially since mom went to college in Philly!

The other day we went to Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, CT. You can see real dinosaur tracks and even make your own casting of some dinosaur footprints (although that portion of the park isn't open until May). We definitely need to go back once Spence is a little older.
