3 Months!

Spencer is 3 months old today! I guess he technically isn't a newborn anymore - wow! His personality is really starting to show and he is always squirming around these days.

Random Pictures

Here are a few random pictures of Spencer. He's getting so big! His latest interests include: laughing at the fish on his bouncy seat, getting raspberries on his tummy, and kicking his feet in the tub (future swimmer perhaps?).

Here he is watching the inauguration of President Barack Obama

Football in CT

Sunday we went to Vernon, CT to watch some football with the gang. Unfortunately, most of the people there were Giants fans (except for the Knuttons)...sorry about your loss (go Philly)! Poor Pete was so upset he hid in the closet for awhile after the game was over.

Spence in his snowsuit...doesn't he remind you of Maggie Simpson in her starfish suit?

Uncle Koach holding the kids (note: Spence is not happy about being held by a Giants fan)

Much better!

Useless Fact: Did you know that today is St. Knut's Day? It's celebrated in Sweden and Finland and it is the traditional day to get rid of all Christmas decorations and throw out the tree - thus ending the Christmas season. Maybe we should start celebrating it in the US!

Visiting Great Grandparents

On Thursday we took Spencer to visit his great grandparents (the Creswicks) since they'll be staying in FL this winter. Spence will be so much bigger by the time they come back to RI!

Happy baby! Spence is smiling all the time now and it is the cutest thing!

Here's Spence trying out his Bumbo chair for the first time. Of course, Levi (who is still bigger than Spence by about 2 pounds) had to check things out, too.

2 Month Well Visit

Yesterday Spence had his 2 month well visit at the pediatrician's. He now weighs 12 pounds and measures 23 inches. He's growing and developing right on schedule and the doctor said he is very healthy. Poor Spence also had to get his first round of shots, but he handled it like a pro. He cried at first (not nearly as much as I expected) and pretty much stopped as soon as I picked him up. He was a little fussier than usual last night, but other than that, he was fine. His next appointment is in March - hopefully it will go just as well as this one!

I had to include a picture of the little guy. This one is from 12/29.

New Year's Eve

On New Year's Eve we went to the annual party at the Tesz's house. As usual we had a gag gift Yankee swap. Here's a picture of some of the gifts the guys ended up with. Drew was very excited about his Jesus shirt; however, my personal favorite is the shirt Pete ended up with ("The Top 10 Pete Drunken Flip Outs")

OK, here's the story with this shirt...when I was pregnant we were having a hard time trying to decide on a name for the baby. We mostly called him "Branford" as a joke because it's the name of the town where Pete and Julie live. After Amy's baby shower in June, we were discussing potential baby names. Drew said he liked the name "Ringo." The girls decided that the name Ringo would be better suited for a dog. That led Ann Marie to suggest the name "Bandit." So, for a little while Fetus (another one of Drew's suggestions) was called Bandit (hence the awesomeness of the shirt Spence is wearing in this picture). Long story short, I'm glad we went with Spence instead of Fetus, Ringo, Branford, or Bandit :)

First Christmas

Sorry it took me awhile to post these, but I've been sick with an upper respiratory infection and an ear infection. Don't worry though, the baby is as healthy as can be.

Here's Spence on Christmas morning right before opening his presents.
