Memorial Day Camping

This year we took our annual Memorial Day camping trip to Daggett Lake in NY. It was Spence's first time camping, and he did surprisingly well! Of course, this year we stayed in a cabin instead of a tent so that certainly helped! Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Spence's first trip to a brewery...his dad was so proud :)

Hanging out at the campsite (that's a baby toy in Drew's hand, not a cigarette)

Sitting by the fire in his PJ's

7 Months

Our little guy is 7 months old! We were camping on the 24th, but we still managed to get our monthly photo shoot in :) He really is such a happy baby!

6 Month Well-Visit

Spencer had his 6 month check-up on May 5th and everything looks good! He had a few more rounds of shots, but he handled it like a pro...too bad we can't say the same thing for Mom :) He weighed 17 pounds (which is average for his age) and measured 28 inches (which is in the 95th percentile). He's getting so tall!

Spence LOVES his solids although when his dad fed him, I'm not sure how much he actually ate. It looks like most of that food is on his stomach instead if in it!

Playing in his booster seat while Mom makes his dinner

Eating some prunes with his Gram. I think he's looking more and more like his dad lately.

Kentucky Derby

Spence just had to wear his Kentucky Derby hat on the day of the big race. He's a little new at picking horses (hey, it's his first time), but he likes the 6 horse, Friesan Fire.

The Park

Our favorite activity is definitely going to the park. We go a few times a week depending on the weather (usually to City Park, but we like to switch it up). Sometimes it's just Spence and Mom, sometimes a friend or two joins us! Either way, we always have a good time!

His first time on the baby swing! He had a blast!

Crazy hair!

Picnic with Auntie Kerry...how fun!

6 months!

Spence is halfway to a year! All I can say is WOW! He's sitting up now and is starting to get teeth (they aren't poking through yet, but we can see them below the surface).

Trying to eat the paper (he has to touch absolutely everything within his reach...and then put it directly into his mouth, of course)
